In January - February 2015, “Start Up Access”- the overseas business-incubator program will be held in Boston, USA.

The upcoming business incubator program offers you a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced mentors, who will assist you in creating a professional business plan and developing a successful marketing strategy. They will also advise you on prototype and product development, as well as effective team building. The program also includes lectures on writing a business plan, finding investors, strategy, marketing, and protection of intellectual property. All lectures will be presented by serial entrepreneurs, as well as MIT faculty members.

Currently, Boston is the home of more than 50 venture capital firms, 12 business angel clubs and a large number of private investors, many of whom are successful entrepreneurs. During the incubator program, you will visit a venture fund, attend personal meetings with representatives of the venture and angel ecosystem and obtain constructive feedback on your individual project. Additionally, your team will have a number of opportunities to practice your elevator pitch in the presence of investors, as well as to participate in Demo Day at the end of the incubator.

There will be a number of days scheduled for the teams to work on their individual projects with representatives from MassChallenge - the organizer of the largest business-plan competition in the world (winning prize - $1M) - which is sponsored by the White House to participate in the StartUp Access program.

For the duration of the program, all participating teams will have access to their personal office space in one of the leading incubators in Boston. You will have unlimited internet access, phone and other necessary resources. Most importantly, you will have an invaluable opportunity to interact with local entrepreneurs on a daily basis.

Past Incubators

The last program, similar to the upcoming event, took place in May 2014, with 15 participating startups from Russia. You can learn more information about each startup here.

During the two-week program, participants worked with over 30 mentors and met with over 10 investors. At the Demo Day Event, where each team presented their project, there were over 70 people in attendance, including a number of investors and other representatives of the Boston’s innovation ecosystem. More information about the December incubator program is available on our blog.
